A nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided for all children at no additional charge. We provide a healthy, diverse menu which includes lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. In order to ensure the health and safety of all children, food items, purchased or from home, may not be brought into the classroom to be eaten, without the director’s approval. This helps prevent children with allergies from being exposed to foods which could be harmful. Please discuss any special dietary needs for your child with the director. Modest accommodations may be made for children with food allergies.
Children’s health is a very important topic in our society today. Childhood illnesses attributed to obesity are on the rise in our country. It is critical that early educators do all we can to stop this epidemic. At Impact Learning Center we believe that physical activity should be a priority every day. The playground should be an extension of the classroom as children explore, socialize and have fun outside! We monitor the child’s well being by conducting daily health checks and notifying families if we notice any concerns in their child’s health throughout the day.
